Birdie Jet was established in Nov 2023 by 3 like-minded commercial pilots who saw potentials in offering low-cost business jet services. With vast experiences in setting up Airlines, Pilot & Engineer Training Centers, flying schools and Maintenance Repair Organization, the partners decided to acquire a business jet offering affordable VIP charter and medical transfer within Asia.

Choosing the right plane is key for success! Learjet 55 was selected due to its popularity and reliability as a medevac plane in the USA/Europe and Australia. Its 5 hours range, 7 seats stand up cabin and low operating cost gives it an additional edge in this category.

We plan to grow our fleet to 4 planes within 2 years, floating our bases within Southeast Asia through funding and collaborations with institutional investors, hospitals and government agencies.

After setting up company and decided on the aircraft type, we flew to US to start our pilot training as slots are hard to come by and duration will be long. We started with FAA license conversion and a Learjet family type rating course. Although we have wealth of flying experience, we hired an instructor for line training until we are comfortable and competent in operating the actual plane. We are very lucky to have found a well-maintained plane during our US trip from a reputable seller and he installed the medical stretcher for us with a flight test. Seller would provide all our spare parts requirements in future.

Our  journey crossed path with EDS Singapore who is an established medical concierge since 2005 providing highly trained full time medical doctors, nurses and equipement's giving a seamless bed to bed medical transfer 24x7.

To provide medevac services, we have partnered up with a 135-certificate holder Titan aviation in America. Getting the plane into a 135 certificate proves to be challenging as FAA inspector availability is hard to come by, with the support of Titan, the process was manageable.
